NOISE RISK ASSESSMENT
DO YOU KNOW?
Excessive Noise is a global occupational health hazard with significant physiological and social effects. Long-term exposure to excessive noise levels, either continuously or intermittently, from machinery or power tools may result in irreversible disabling and hearing damage.

Thus, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia, under OSH Noise Exposure Regulations 2019, requires all enterprises to conduct Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) to reduce occupational hearing impairment.

NRA provides employers with the reassurance that noise levels remain under control while they are operating. To comply with DOSH rules, the Noise Risk Assessor uses noise monitoring measurement to calculate decibel levels and identify issue areas.
